ENSURING LAC QUI PARLE COUNTY’S HISTORY
The goal of the Lac qui Parle Historical Society is preserving, collecting, and researching historical information and ensuring that history is available for future generations. The items collected and housed at the Lac qui Parle County Museum are windows into the past. Through history we learn how society operated in the past and how it has changed. It helps us understand ourselves and the world around us.
The Lac qui Parle Historical Society operates on donations from individuals and organizations. Those funds are used to maintain its buildings and the artifacts within those buildings. It helps with research and collecting stories.
There are many ways to support the Historical Society and its museum. Becoming a member and making periodic donations helps immensely. So does planned giving. Naming the Lac qui Parle Historical Society as a beneficiary of your Will, life insurance, or annuity will help ensure that the museum will be here for generations to come. If you have an IRA, all or part of the Required Minimum Distribution amount can also be donated directly to the Lac qui Parle Historical Society which can be a tax benefit to the donor.

Personal Memberships: Annual Individual $20.00, Annual Family $30.00, Annual Contributor $50.00, Annual Benefactor $100.00, Annual Bronze $500, Annual Silver $1,000, Annual Gold $5,000
Business Memberships: Annual Bronze $50.00, Annual Silver $75.00, Annual Gold $100.00, Annual Diamond $250.00. All business sponsors will be promoted in the museum, on our website and in our newsletter that goes out four times a year to over 200 people.
Payment Options
Credit Card or PayPal Balance: Use the PayPal button if you would like to use a credit card; safe, secure and you do not need a PayPal account. If you do have a PayPal account, you have the option of paying from your existing balance.
Cash or check: Stop in at the museum or email us a request for a membership form.
