Classes

The Lac qui Parle County Museum is offering several classes in 2012.

So far this year we have had classes on making sunbuckles (Scandinavian cookies), krumkaka, knitting and tatting, and Ukranian egg decorating.

Photoshop Class
May 29 and 31, 7-9pm
Limited to 4 students
$10.00 for both days

Barb Tarcza will be teaching a two-day workshop on Getting Started in Photoshop. Basic use will be covered including menu bars, tool bars, document window, navigation, undo history, styles and actions, color modes, resolution, how to save an image for the web, and basics of photo repair. The second session is open format follow-up for students to bring in projects in progress.

This workshop is best experience hands-on, so a laptop with Photoshop installed is recommended but not required. Lessons will be taught from Photoshop CS2 but will be useful for users of Photoshop 7 up through Photoshop CS5.

Please note: Photoshop Elements is quite different in structure and capabilities, thus most material covered will not apply to its use.

If you are interested in taking classes contact the museum at 320-598-7678 no later than one week before the date of the class.

If you are interested in teaching a class, or if there is a class you think we should offer, please let us know.
